Come back on the DADVSI
DADVIS: Droit d’auteur et Droit voisin dans la société de l’information.
It’s really important to focus on this law project.
I’ve made for my work at Evolix a small conference on software patents (07/04/05) that you can find on : https://sdubois.fr/data/brevetlogiciels.pdf
Understanding the lobbying behind this issue is really important to understand our “world”.
Making sentences that will be a bit “philosophical” isn’t the purpose here.
Just “take a chair, have a glass of wine, your favorite” (Offspring TM), read the text of the DADVIS and think.
To my mind you’ve got some help and guidelines on http://eucd.info/
I’ve never been a “terrorist” about the Open Source model, I always made my choice by analysing the pros and cons.
I think that the 100000 persons who have approuved the petition, have read “under the lines” that with such a law you won’t be able to study, innovate in computering or arts tomorrow…
Please think about this during the night of the 21 december …
Well, what a mess!!! The Deputies have voted in favor of the DADVSI law project, BUT they have also voted in favor of the “global licence” that is supposed to legitimize P2P downloading (including the downloading of copyrighted files).
Of course, uploading is still a crime… Hypocrisy, anyone?
